#456• Think Spring Flowers For Snow

Click here to purchase this painting #456

You skiers can thank me for this one, I was reading about how a lot of coastal gardeners are seeing bulbs poking through the mulch already. Got me in the mood and wouldn't you know it, we're going to get buried. It's not easy to out smart Mother Nature, though I can't credit for that and much prefer to liken it to rooting for the other team so that yours is guaranteed to win. Think spring-like thoughts and it's guaranteed to conjure up a good old fashioned nor' easter for sure.

Since it's like summer out there today on this glorious winter morning in Maine, I thought I'd post something to reflect the event. It's a painting I did last September, so it's not totally summer.

Make the best of it folks. We'll be back and up to our necks in winter tomorrow!

#454 • A Dose of Help, Hope and Promise

Oddly, and it's usually around this time of year, we'll get a day like this one. It feels like spring. I hear a million little voices calling for help, hope and some sort of promise. I think it comes from under the snow.

But there are also a few of my calendar fans who live in the mid-west who don't get breaks like this. They've told me they need something to remind them that spring will come, that it does every year, and that it will be sooner rather than later.
