So spring finally arrived. Living in a state of being-almost-warm-limbo for so long this year - where it looks warm out there but never quite is - finally reminded me that this is a typical spring in Maine. Last year's made one forget.
This year's spring limbo also reminded me of what being a freelance artist is really like - a circus-like existence that swings from the stark terror that there isn't enough work, to absolute panic that there is too much.
I don't remember what made me think living in Maine or being an artist was going to be romantic. I guess it's the same thing that makes me think spring here is going to be sunny and warm. Perseverance - continued steady belief or efforts, withstanding discouragement or difficulty
Perseverance • 8" x 8" watercolor framed to 12" x 12" • $200
